CareersPortal.co.za had a chat with the Head of Division for Engineering Studies at False Bay College, with regards to their different courses.
False Bay's Engineering NCV programmes are provided at two campuses: Westlake Campus and Khayelitsha Campus. These Engineering programmes are for a three-yr duration.

NCV Engineering Course Entry Requirements
These classes commence at NCV level two and the bare minimum prerequisite would then be Grade 9 certificate with a pass in Mathematics.
At the time the student finishes NCVLevel 2, they'd then have attained a grade 10 certification. NCV Level three would be grade 11 and NCV Level four is grade 12.
NCV Level 4 is at the exit level, currently being equivalent to a Nationwide Senior Certificate (NSC).
Grade nine is on NQF level one. Our NCV programmes start NCV degree two which is equivalent to an NQF level two.
On which type of students are fitted to these programmes, they say that the world is acknowledging that regular schooling more info is not really always the only real method of turning out to be an artisan or turning into skilled so study engineering if a student knows from an early age what their passions are, the NCV programme is in fact properly fitted to that student.
